Results Nationals 2017

Congratulations to our smallest Club squad, sadly only eight students took part this year however everyone will agree that the competitors were of a very high standard and it was hard to get into medal positions competing against much bigger squads..

Well done Ionia Celibio getiing GOLD in Kata and SILVER in Kumite ( 3rd year she has accomplished this).

Congratulations to Benjamin Bakalovik in getting GOLD for Kumite (at his first attempt).

Congratulations to the rest of the squad who all tried very hard but who sadly lost out in the preliminary rounds.

Our thanks to Ohta Sensei for an excellent course on Friday the 19th May.

Everyone will agree that the course was very educational with lots to practice and take home for the next grading.

Sensei Ohta put everyone through their syllabus with particular attention to the Kihon and Kata section of the syllabus, the kumite was excellent with some complex drills for the higher grades.

Well done to everyone that attended.

We will endevour to bring Ohta sensei back to the Club.
