Judges & Referees course 2018

January 14th, 2018

Hi All,

Just a reminder regarding the:

JKA England Referees Course on the 4th February in Hatfield.

When Sun, 4 February, 11:00 – 16:00

Where Hertfordshire Sports Village, de Havilland Campus Hatfield Business Park Hatfield Herts AL10 9EU

Description Special course for all referees and judges. No previous experience necessary but attendees should be 1st kyu or higher and over 18 years old.
The course will help you to be a corner judge and referee. We will learn theory, commands, signals, and have a practical session in groups to help build confidence with judging and refereeing.
Please contact [email protected] to reserve a place.

As you can see It is open to all 1st kyu‘ s and above.

Even if a student doesn’t want to take an International Qualification it is still a really good way of improving their Karate and getting them to engage with the Association. If they are not confident we will have Regional Championships this year where they can practice what they learn on this course. They can also be timekeepers or score markers so there is plenty to do.

We encourage eligible students to take part, not only is it really valuable to their personal development, it’s also really important for the long term development of our Association.

Please let us know if you have any questions and if you are planning on attending.

Many thanks and best wishes
