Our attendance was average first session was the best with lots of students,  Higher grades need to apply themselves more and make themselves available to these courses.

Remember if we want these courses to be run at Club level you need to support the Club by attending..

Grading 8th December 2012

November 14th, 2012

Some notes on  our last  Grading of the year 2012

Date Saturday 8th December

Venue Becontree Heath Leisure Centre,Dagenham, Essex

Thank you to all Students who took part in the last training / Grading Session of the year.

Sensei Ismael and Sense Jodie ( apologies if we have the name wrong ), who came to the Club to do the training/Grading session,  were superb putting everyone through the paces and reminding them as to the standard that they should all be able to achieve.

We went thorugh Kihon Basics , Kata Basic forms and Kumite Sparring all essential for the students taking grading later on.

A good reminder for everyone was the press ups that had to be done for not lining up quick enough, this has now been introduced at all lessons to encourage students to be more aware of instructions.

Grading was very hard and we saw some good performances from students who normally just cruise by and some excellent performances from students we knew would be a credit to the Club.

All in all a good Grading enjoyed by all participants and Instructors..

Thank you Sensei Ismael for your Instruction and examination and also a big thank you to all for your kind Support with all Club activities…

Please see Grading 2012 for Results…

Sensei Ohta Visit

October 4th, 2012

Sensei Ohta Instructed at the Club on Thursday 18th October

Venue Newham Leisure Centre 281 Prince Regent Lane E15 8SD

Thank you to all students who came to training last night..

Sensei Ohta as usual was superb and everyone went home with lots to practice.

We went through Kihon (Basics), Kata (Forms) and Kumitee (Sparring) alll relevant to students grade, with lots of tips for examination later on.

Our first two classes were full ,lots of students there,  sadly our higher grades let us down and there were only seven of us training for the last session, this must improve for higher grades in future as Sensei went through brown belt syllabus specially benefitial to 1st and 2nd Kyus.

Special thanks to Sensei Akgul  and Ms Chinoe Stuart from Turkundo who came and trained with us.

Our thanks once more to all students who attended for your incredible support with this event.

Great News

October 1st, 2012

We are very pleased and happy to announced to all that Mr Brian Williams has succesfully passed his JKA Coaching License Examination at the International Course over the weekend.

We would like to formally thank Brian on behalf of all at the Club for his commitment and valuable assistance with classes this past year.

Sensei Williams passed a very hard examination and was tested on all areas of knowledge so that he is able to teach on his own.His examiners were Sensei Tomlin, Sensei Stewart and Sensei Ismael.

We are grateful that he has been rewarded for his comitment  to hard study and practice.

It is our wish that higher grade wishing to pursue this path will be able to do so following his example.

We welcome Sensei Williams to the Instructors teaching staff  and wish him well in developing himself further along these lines.

We also encourage other High grade students over 21 to join the instructors teaching staff.

Well done Sensei Williams and all the best for the future.
