Special  activity on Tuesday 18th September  7pm to 9.30pm @ Harold Road Centre

 

 

 
Thank you to all our Students, Parents and Friends who rasied an incredible £130 on the night for the Childrens Hospital Charity we matched this with a £250 from our Club funds raising a total of £380 alltogether… Great result to all involved.

Thank you to all the fantastic volunteers for helping out, too many to mention and specially Mr F Cruz for making the journey from Sheffield to London for this event.

Please note that we are still taking much needed funding for the Children’s hospital, any monies further raised will be passed on to Mr Cruz for the Childrens Hospital.

This activity will be a hit with those of you that missed out with the Olympics, my good friend Mr Cruz is a Marathon runner ( we used to run together a long time ago), was chosen by Sheffield council to be one of the torch bearers because of his charity and voluntary work within the community. 
 
Mr Cruz from Sheffield will be coming with the Oympic torch so everyone can have a photo taken with him, we will  have a photographer on the day to print the photos.(Mr Kirk Gibson has kindly donated his time to help us out).
 
I have been friends with Mr Cruz for a long time and I bear testament to his charity work for the past decade he is currently sponsoring Sheffield Childrens Hospital so please spread the word and lets donate some badly needed finance to this worthwhile cause.
 
We will charge a small amount for the photographs all of which will be donated to the Children’s hospital(for a  small donation you will be able to have your photo taken and take away with you on the day). I will also pass around a bucket for donations during lesson times.

Dear Students

We would like to thank all our Students on their excellent behaviour during the training and especially during Grading with Sensei Ohta.

All of you have surpassed our expectations and have shown maturity beyond your years.

We are very happy that all of you have understood and are applying the Dojo Code not just in the Dojo but have incorporated it in your daily life.

For those of you that need a little more work to attain a full grade, we say to you, keep training and you will see that in no time the full grade will be yours.

26 students took the grading with 5 temporary passes two good passes and our first double grade as a Club ( Well done Mr Aaron Storey).

It is an honour and a priviledge to teach all of you..

STARTING SHARP!!! Please arrive at least 15 mins before your lesson

6.00pm – 7.00pm – Beginners + Green belts

7.00pm – 8.00pm – Purple +1 stripe belt and above
Kyu grading will follow around 8:15 pm

Cost: Training Only:  £10

Students please note that Sydney Russel Leisure Centre Session for Friday 17th of August has been cancelled due to the Grading.

East London JKA  will be running its annual Six week Summer Karate taster Course…

Two venues this year Newham & Barking & Dagenham

Venue 1 Newham Leisure Centre 281 Prince Regent Lane Newham (course has now finished)

Time 10.15 to 11.15 am (Saturday)

Venue 2 Becontree Heath Leisure Centre, Althorne Way, Dagenham, RM10 7AY (course has now finished)

Time 7-8pm ( Friday )

Course duration Six weeks Please note Friday 17th August session is from 6 – 7 pm

Please note minimum age is 6 years old. Course is open to children and adults alike.

All students will receive a karate suit after week three (must attend all three sessions), plus a certificate and a medal if you complete all six weeks. They will also be given the chance to follow on and join mainstream Club.

Please note both courses have already finished , however you can still turn up an chat with instructor who will advice an alternative route to join the Club.
