Congratulations to our squad for an excellent club representation at the Championships and a huge thanks to all the parents and friends for supporting this revived Championship. A huge thanks to Liene for being an excellent coach on the day.

PLEASE NOTE NO SATURDAY LESSON THIS WEEK DUE TO GRADING AT ROYAL DOCKS COMMUNITY SCHOOL..

For our Club Grading on the 26th we will be going to Alfa Karate Club Dojo in Canning Town, Newham.

The Royal Docks Community School is relatively close to Newham Leisure Centre. (3-4 bus stops away in Prince Regent Lane).

TRAINING 10.30  to 11.30am (all grades)

GRADING 12.00 to 4.00 pm

Training is open to all students ( must have in date JKA license). Grading only to those students who have passed the clubs internal assesment and have the required minimum hours of training and  attendance.

All students training only need to show their in date JKA license and hand in their fee by the 24th November. ( only students with JKA Licenses will be allowed to train).

All students grading need to give their indate JKA license with their fee by the 24th of November.

See head Instructor for training /grading   fees and licenses,  he is the sole person responsible.

Please help us to help you by handing in your fees and licenses early, this makes for a smooth running of administration and leaves us free to concentrate on other issues on the day.

If your License is being processed you will be allowed to do training only, do please let the Instructor know.

All students that are participating in the Regional Championships on the 13th of November are reminded of the following: 

All parents and students that require a place in the coach please book your place soon, there are still some places left  and we need to fill the coach to make this a succesfull trip, please support your Club.

Please note coach will pick us up and depart at 7.30am  on Sunday the 13th outside Harold Road Centre. (please arrive on time as we canot afford to be waiting too long)

All students are reminded that they require a Club overGi,  (please see instructor to get you discount) and JKA license on the day of the Championships, no license no competition these are the rules…we cannot help if you do not have license..

We wish all our squad the best of luck and that they enjoy their participation at this unique event.

Do please remember to conduct yourselves with  dicipline and sportsmanship throughout the Championships.

Please note the following activities in November.

 1. For the London Regional Championships on the 13th  we are organising a coach to take us to  thevenue. 

We have limited space available and it will be on a first come first served basis. Pick up will be at Harold Road Centre,  (7.30am pick up and around 6.30pm  drop off, depending on finishing time at venue).

For bookings and coach fees please get in touch with Ms Roshni Bhudia Club Secretary email [email protected] , our club secretary is the sole person responsible for the coach bookings for this event.

Once we have sufficient numbers we will be closed for additional bookings, we advice you to book early to avoid disapointment.

If you are club squad member and are competing we need you to do this straight away or you may find yourself without a seat.

Coach travel to championships is open to all club members, family and friends. Please note there is an entrance fee to the championships. ( was £2.50 individual & £5 family ticket last year ).

All squad members need to hand in their Events Disclaimer and fees to the Head Instructor by the 20th of October, ( we will not accept disclaimers after this date and you will miss out) .

Please bring your JKA licenses to class next week as we will check licenses to make sure that everyone is in date.

Do remember that it is the students responsibility together with the parent/carer to ensure you hand in your renewa form, a minimum of 4 weeks before it runs out.

Remember we have grading coming up in November .    

 No in date license  =  No training / No grading

Just to remind everyone

Sensei Mira 3rd Dan JKA from Sheffield Shimeijurasan Dojo will be at our Club on the 17th of September from 2-5pm at Newham Leisure Centre Studio 1 upstairs.

Lessons will be , beginners 2pm, orange to yellows 3pm,  green belts and above 4 pm..

Congratulations to all students who succesfully attended the six week summer Karate Course organised with Barking & Dagenham Council.

All students worked very hard and were presented with Certificates and medals at the end of the six weeks.

Most of the students have decided to join the Club and we welcome them all.
